SUB-COMMITTEES:
U-Mentoring
Co-Chairs:
Karen G. Sugar, CFM CID, Sugar Associates LLC
Deborah A. Ford, Ph.D, University of Baltimore
CREW Baltimore and the University of Baltimore have committed to a partnership pursuant to which a mentoring program is established facilitating mentoring from CREW Baltimore professionals and University of Baltimore students. This sub-committee in conjunction with the full committee will work to recruit additional mentors and facilitate similar programs.
UCREW
Chair: Deborah A. Ford, Ph.D, University of Baltimore
UCREW is a program established by CREW Foundation to foster University Outreach. It is a streamlined, single day, program, pursuant to which University students are given the opportunity to meet with and interview real estate professionals on a one-on-one basis. The UCREW subcommittee will work to recruit a well-rounded variety of real estate professionals to attend this event. In particular, the sub-committee in conjunction with the full committee will be reaching out to some of our "older" more experienced colleagues who may not have the time to carry a committee load, but who would be willing to give up a lunchtime meeting to share their experiences with an enthusiastic student.
Signature Fundraising Event
Co-Chairs:
Karyn Tasker, Reznick Group
Polly Houck, Absolute Service Industries, LLC
This committee will take the lead on a signature event that both raises awareness of and money for CREW Foundation. It may also raise awareness and funds for a local charity, yet to be determined. |
PUBLIC RELATIONS
The Public Relations Committee works with all committee chairs and the Board to promote activities and announcements in the chapter. This committee coordinates publicizing the Chapter’s events, coordinating with the local media and promoting member news.
