FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK...

Michele Levy Cohen, Principal
Miles & Stockbridge, P.C.
After attending the 2011 CREW Network Convention in September, I continue to be influenced by the event’s theme, “Welcome to the Power Center!”
The power of CREW allows us to be an influence within the real estate community for ourselves and our fellow members, both on a local and national level. My goal for this year is for all of us to get the power provided through a CREW-Baltimore membership.
At the local level, the CREW-Baltimore Board and Committee Chairs continue to work diligently to provide our members with a variety of opportunities that enable each of you to seize the power. This can be accomplished in three ways: networking, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities. Additionally, we offer many member-only benefits, designed to maximize the value of your commitment. These include access to attendee lists after each event, access to presentations and invitations to exclusive member-only events offered throughout the year.
There are two CREW Network benefits I believe all members should take advantage of, regardless of what stage you are in your career.
- Participate in/attend national events
- Complete your bio on CREWbiz™
CREW Network events offer a variety of personal leadership development workshops as well as networking opportunities with commercial real estate professionals throughout the United States and Canada. CREWbiz™ gives you the opportunity to market yourself while generating new contacts and business leads with nearly 8,000 CREW members in 74 markets.
Please support our efforts by attending our local programs and encouraging your colleagues, clients and vendors to consider a CREW-Baltimore membership.
On a personal note, I would like to welcome our new Sponsorship Chair, Caryl Mason, and our new Community Action Chair, Polly Houck. My sincerest thanks to our outgoing Past-President, Lou Ann Dent, Community Action Chair (and 2009 President) Kim Manuelides and my special thanks to outgoing Sponsorship Chair, Lynda Balins, who becomes your President-Elect. To our immediate Past-President, Joan Renner, many thanks for all of your hard work this past year. Many of our board and executive committee members are continuing in their roles with CREW-Baltimore, which is greatly appreciated.
Finally I want to thank all of our CREW-Baltimore sponsors, whose generosity continues to support our efforts to bring value to your membership.
I look forward to working with all of you to make 2012 another fantastic year! |
