October 17, 2009 | 8:30 am -2:00 pm

Location: University of Baltimore [campus map]
Parking vouchers will be issued for parking garage No. 24 where you will be charged only $4 for the day.  The event is being held in building 8, Thumel Sr. Business Center.

U of B Host: Deborah A. Ford, Ph.D. | Professor of Finance;
Chair, Department of Economics, Finance & Management Science [bio]

Tour Location: The Fitgerald at UB Midtown [site]

CREW-Baltimore will host a one-day workshop for high school girls introducing them to the opportunities available to women in the commercial real estate industry. This is a hands-on, interactive workshop involving our organization's professionals, and we need your help as sponsors, volunteers or both.

During the last two years our volunteers and sponsors overwhelmed us, and this year our need is even greater because of the commitments we are getting from the organizations these girls will be coming from - we anticipate 50 girls will participate in the workshop! We have heard from so many of you about your interest in participating, and are now ready to let you know the many ways that you can be a part of this important community outreach. We need enthusiastic volunteers for this day of fun and education. And we need your companies to provide give-away items for the tote bags or come forward with other forms of sponsorship.

We hope you will take the opportunity to support this very worthy cause. If you would like more information about the workshop, please contact our CREW Careers™ Co-Chair:
Michele Kornbluth at 443/574-1403 or mkornbluth@klnb.com

DO YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE?
We have need for people to check-in the girls and their parents, escort groups on site tours, presenters/teachers for the sessions, interviewers for mock interviews, people to eat lunch with smaller groups of girls and initiate networking and career discussions, people to meet with the parents to discuss the careers represented in CREW, photographers and videographers.
Please fill out a STAFFING FORM and return it to our staffing coordinator:
Carmen Graves at (fax) 410/783- 4871 or carmen.graves@reznickgroup.com

NOT ABLE TO PARTICIPATE BUT WANT TO HELP?
We need items for the girls’ tote bags that can be used during the day and for their career planning (e.g., pocket folders, business-card cases, bottled water, pens & pencils, notepads, post-its, books on careers, networking and higher education). Or consider items that will be fun for them to use in the community (e.g., coupons to City-wide stores, lip balm, hand lotion, anything light-weight and fun for high-school girls).

Firms have the opportunity to be recognized as local sponsors too, which will help cover the costs of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and rental chairs and tables.
Please fill out a SPONSOR FORM and return it to our sponsor coordinator:
Laura Thul Penza at (fax) 410/435-6868 or ltpenza@penzabailey.com

HAVE COLLEAGUES OR CLIENTS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING?
Great! Feel free to share this information with them.
